C\u2019\u00e9tait une butte de terre entour\u00e9e d\u2019un foss\u00e9 et surmont\u00e9e d\u2019un ch\u00e2teau en bois, entour\u00e9 de palissades.<\/p><p class=\"Textbody\">La premi\u00e8re occupation m\u00e9di\u00e9vale se situerait au hameau d\u2019<span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><a href=\"https:\/\/saint-georges-sur-loire-patrimoine.fr\/index.php\/2024\/05\/30\/eculard\/\">Eculard<\/a><\/span>, vestige de cette occupation o\u00f9 la tradition situe la premi\u00e8re \u00e9glise du village.<\/p><p class=\"Textbody\">L\u2019invasion des Normands en 910-930 fait remonter la population vers le coteau sur lequel se trouve aujourd\u2019hui le bourg de Saint-Georges-sur-Loire.
