class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<p>Le ch\u00e2teau de Chevign\u00e9 est situ\u00e9 \u00e0 l&rsquo;\u00e9cart des voies de communication de la commune et blotti au coeur des bois, proche d&rsquo;un \u00e9tang au sud-est du ch\u00e2teau de Serrant. Ces terres \u00e9taient des possessions anciennes des seigneurs du Plessis qui en firent don \u00e0 l&rsquo;abbaye de Saint Serge au XII\u00e8me. En 1369, Jean de la Bernich\u00e8re, abb\u00e9 de Saint Aubin d&rsquo;Angers, en fait l&rsquo;acquisition. Les terres deviennent la propri\u00e9t\u00e9 de Thibault de Ruffier, son successeur. En 1501, la seigneurie quitte la famille Ruffier : Guillaume Moisant, juriste, en fait l&rsquo;acquisition. Elle passe \u00e0 la famille Chalopin avec le mariage de Pierre Chalopin avec Jacqueline Moisant en 1545.<\/p><p>Jusqu&rsquo;en 1761, le Ch\u00e2teau de Chevign\u00e9 \u00e9tait la propri\u00e9t\u00e9 de la famille <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><a href=\"https:\/\/saint-georges-sur-loire-patrimoine.fr\/index.php\/2024\/07\/01\/louise-chalopin\/\">C<\/a>halopin <\/span>puis, par alliance, de la famille Racap\u00e9 par le mariage de <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><a href=\"https:\/\/saint-georges-sur-loire-patrimoine.fr\/index.php\/2024\/07\/01\/louise-chalopin\/\">Louise Chalopin<\/a><\/span> avec F\u00e9lix de Racap\u00e9. A la fin du XVII\u00e8me si\u00e8cle, d&rsquo;importants travaux lui donneront sa forme actuel de manoir classique aux formes harmonieuses et \u00e9quilibr\u00e9es, attribu\u00e9 au grand architecte Hardouin Mansard et inspir\u00e9 par le ch\u00e2teau de Serrant, tout proche.<\/p><p>En 1761, le Ch\u00e2teau de Chevign\u00e9 devint la propri\u00e9t\u00e9 d\u2019\u00c9tienne Fortier, n\u00e9gociant \u00e0 Saint-Domingue ayant fait fortune dans le commerce triangulaire, avant d\u2019\u00eatre habit\u00e9 en 1773 par <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><a href=\"https:\/\/saint-georges-sur-loire-patrimoine.fr\/index.php\/2024\/06\/26\/antoine-walsh\/\">Antoine Walsh<\/a>.<\/span> En 1789, l\u2019irlandais Ren\u00e9 O\u2019Diette, armateur \u00e0 Nantes l\u2019acquit, et la demeure resta dans la famille jusqu\u2019au XXe. La chapelle du ch\u00e2teau d\u00e9di\u00e9e \u00e0 Saint Louis a \u00e9t\u00e9 b\u00e9nite le 5 ao\u00fbt 1680 en pr\u00e9sence de <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><a href=\"https:\/\/saint-georges-sur-loire-patrimoine.fr\/index.php\/2024\/07\/03\/guillaume-iii-bautru\/\">Guillaume III Bautru<\/a><\/span> , propri\u00e9taire du ch\u00e2teau de Serrant, avec qui Louise Chalopin partagea une union longtemps secr\u00e8te.<\/p><p>Le ch\u00e2teau de Chevign\u00e9 est actuellement une propri\u00e9t\u00e9 En 1501, la seigneurie quitte la famille Ruffier : Guillaume Moisant, juriste, en fait l&rsquo;acquisition. Elle passe \u00e0 la famille Chalopin avec le mariage de Pierre Chalopin avec Jacqueline Moisant en 1545. Jusqu&rsquo;en 1761, le Ch\u00e2teau de Chevign\u00e9 \u00e9tait la propri\u00e9t\u00e9 de la famille Chalopin puis, par alliance, de la famille Racap\u00e9 par le mariage de Louise Chalopin avec F\u00e9lix de Racap\u00e9. A la fin du XVII\u00e8me si\u00e8cle, d&rsquo;importants travaux lui donneront sa forme actuel de manoir classique aux formes harmonieuses et \u00e9quilibr\u00e9es, attribu\u00e9 au grand architecte Hardouin Mansard et inspir\u00e9 par le ch\u00e2teau de Serrant, tout proche. En 1761, le Ch\u00e2teau de Chevign\u00e9 devint la propri\u00e9t\u00e9 d\u2019\u00c9tienne Fortier, n\u00e9gociant \u00e0 Saint-Domingue ayant fait fortune dans le commerce triangulaire, avant d\u2019\u00eatre habit\u00e9 en 1773 par Antoine Walsh.
